حماد بن إسحاق بن إسماعيل بن حماد بن زيد الجهضمي الازدي: فقيه عراقي، ممن انتشر على أيديهم مذهب مالك.

كانت له مكانة عند بني العباس، في بغداد وسامراء، كأخيه إسماعيل ثم امتحن على يد المهتدي العباسي (محمد بن هارون) سنة 255 وضرب بالسياط، وطيف به على بغل في سامراء، لشي بلغه عنه.
له تصانيف، منها (تركة النبي - خ) (1) في الظاهرية غير كامل، و (الرد على الشافعي) و (المهادنة)
